CREW O-Rex

4 → 11-10-2009 Kunstencentrum Vooruit Gent

The experimental theatre company CREW makes performances on the border between technology, drama and science and asks questions about the condition of today’s homo technologicus. O_Rex is a work in progress. Last year the performance in Vooruit was cancelled, but after taking further steps in their research, Eric Joris and CREW can now present the final version of their play, O_Rex 1.3. One member of the audience will experience the performance from the inside out: armed with 3D glasses and headphones he will explore the three-dimensional universe created by CREW. The rest of the audience is invited to watch. In O_Rex, Oedipus’ tragic fate symbolizes modern man: blinded by his vision, he is unable to grasp the world as a whole.
